Sarah Roediger
Music, working with children, dancing and performing has always been a very important part of Sarah's life. During her High School years Sarah was always involved in many Musical productions and extra-curricular performing activities. In Year 11 her friend Pip introduced her the movie 'Swing Kids'. Lunch times were spent trying to perfect the 20's Charleston and trying to work out the choreography to the jam session scene in the movie.
In 2001 Sarah started the search of finding a place where instead of just tapping her feet she could finally dance to addictive boogie woogie sounds!! After a couple of false start in August of 2001 Sarah and a friend stumbled across Swing Patrol at CBD night club. After the first lesson the addiction set in and she suddenly found herself searching op shops for the next vintage outfit.
Since then Sarah has performed at many gigs around victoria with Brat Pack. In 2006 she achieved a longtime dream by choreographing and performing a showcase routine with Jasmin Scanlan at AJC and finishing 1st. Combining two of her passions working with children and swing dancing, Sarah teachers Swing Kids and is not quite sure who has more fun... the kids or her?!?!
