Evan Hughes

Having started dancing in 2004, Evan has become a regular of the Melbourne swing scene. He is typically on the social floor at CBD, and has often been the last to leave an afterparty locally or interstate at Church City Blues, Lismore, and Camp Oz. Evan won Open Jack & Jill at the 2007 Australian Jitterbug Championships, and took out a hat trick of wins in the Slow and Smooth, Strictly Lindy, and Fast Foot divisions at the Melbourne Swing Festival in 2008. Perhaps more important than each of these successes is the numerous heelslide comps that he has taken out (he really is a simple lad; we keep hoping, but can't see him growing up any time soon).
Evan has been a member of Bratpack, Scatpack, and is a founding member of Ginger. His own greatest critic, Evan is always impatient to be better and relishes the improvement opportunities that teaching both offers and demands.
