Profile

Sarah Ward

Sarah began dancing Lindy Hop in 2001 in Perth, Western Australia and loved it right from the start. Her dancing career actually started at age 3 with classical ballet. She went on to do a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and then worked as a professional dancer for a number of years. Before being a Lindy Hop teacher Sarah also taught several different styles of dance, including jazz, contemporary and ballet to all age groups.

Prior to moving to London, Sarah was a co-founder of Jumptown! ACT Swing Dance Society in Canberra in 2003. Jumptown quickly became a very successful swing dance school and has been running for 5 years now. Sarah
moved to London in 2005 and has been a regular feature of the London swing dance scene. In this time she has organised workshops, been on the London Lindy Exchange committee and choreographed for team events.

Sarah has an infectious love of dance, lots of energy and is a teacher with loads of encouragement and enthusiasm. Sarah has been a close pal of Swing Patrol's for many years, so to finally be working with each other is a really exciting chapter for all parties. I know we are thrilled to have all of Sarah's swing dance teaching experience as part of our team.

Sarah will be part of the Swing Patrol  team teaching swing dancing ( mainly Lindy Hop ) around London. At present we haven't allocated venues to our fabulous team of swing dance instructors but watch this space and we will sort out as soon as possible. One thing we can assure you though is that our team of seven teachers all absolutely love their swing dancing and can't wait to share the dane that they love in 2009.
